Session Description:

The workplace is changing. We have moved from a time when speed and efficient have been replaced by adaptability, agility and creativity. This evolution has not only changed how we work but what skills are needed to be successful. The technical and human needs to deliver for business is a priority. As an HR professional, you can play a significant role in promoting the success of our organization by understanding your business objectives and the changing environment - nationally and globally - in which you compete. In this session, you will learn the business skills you need to develop to become a strong contributor to the "bottom line." You will also review ways to leverage technology and key tools within workforce development and workplace flexibility - to more effectively manage the work, the worker and the workplace in fulfilling your business goals for the future.

Speaker Bio:

Gloria Sinclair Miller is an accomplished Senior Executive with more than 20 years of success in the human resources within the banking, retail, pharmaceutical, and non-profit industries. Concurrently, Gloria has served as an Independent Senior Consultant focused in helping small businesses develop their HR function or manage their talent globally. In her current role as a Field Services Director with the Society for Human Resources Management, Gloria is responsible for overseeing the fostering and promoting of memberships, programs and services for SHRM in the eastern region of the U.S. Gloria comes to this role after serving on the board of directors for the Philadelphia Chapter in multiple roles over the years including Chapter President. Gloria's professional credentials include the SHRM-SCP certification, as well as both a Masters and Bachelor of Science Degree in Human Resources Management from Widener University and Wilmington Universities respectively.
