We'rere distinguishing the dress code in two ways - the conference portion of the cruise and being on the cruise ship itself.

For the conference portion of the cruise we are encouraging casual dress. Shorts or business casual is fine - be comfortable!

In the dining rooms, the dress code is as follows:

  • Smart Casual: Ladies: Skirt or pants (no holes, rips or tears) with a blouse. Gentlemen: Pants (no holes, rips or tears) with a collared shirt.
  • There is one formal night (usually day 2 of the cruise).
  • Formal: Ladies: Cocktail dress or pantsuit. Gentlemen: Suit (black tie is optional)
  • Note: Swimsuits, robes, bare feet, tank tops, baseball caps and pool wear are not allowed in the main restaurants or specialty restaurants. T-shirts, shorts and flip-flops are acceptable for lunch.
  • Yes, we have secured the Pyramid Room on Deck Five for a cocktail hours between 5pm and 6pm on Day 1 of the HR Conference Cruise. All attendees and guests are invited for cocktails and hors d'oeuvres.

There are Insurance plans designed to cover US citizens traveling worldwide. Plans can include medical expense coverage, trip interruption, emergency travel services and more. Here is a pdf from Royal Caribbean: http://www.royalcaribbean.com/content/en_US/pdf/RCC_Version_4_9-2015.pdf or contact Mike Medoro, 440-899-2242, mgmedoro@aspect-marketing.com for more information.

The Crown & Anchor® Society is a way of recognizing and rewarding Royal Caribbean's most loyal guests. As a member, you'll receive exclusive benefits and privileges to make your cruise experiences with Royal Caribbean International® even more spectacular.

If you are a member of the Crown & Anchor® Society - your nights on the HR Conference Cruise will earn recognition for your sailing. Simply provide your membership number to Mike Medoro - via email - to mgmedoro@aspect-marketing.com at the time you register.

Note that a Crown and Anchor member' s pre-cruise benefits (such as discount, upgrades, etc.) are not redeemable on an incentive group; however he/she will still receive the member benefits during the cruise.

Consider enrolling in the program if you are not a member. This is a complimentary program where you can start earning cruise points every time you sail. You earn 1 Cruise Point for every night you sail with Royal Caribbean and DOUBLE the points when you book a suite. Points add up to great benefits that you'll enjoy before you sail and while you are onboard.

Cruisers are exempt from having to bring passports if they are on "closed loop" sailings -- which start and finish in the same U.S. homeport and only travel to Canada, Mexico, the Caribbean and Bermuda.

If you choose to travel without a passport, you still need to show a government-issued photo ID (such as a driver's license) and proof of citizenship (a certified copy of your birth certificate or similar documentation) to get back into the U.S. after your trip.

Again, be sure to check the entry requirements of the cruise ports you plan to visit. Just because you don't need a passport to return to the U.S. does not mean that you don't need one to enter one of the foreign countries on your itinerary.

Royal Caribbean International strongly recommends that all guests travel with a valid passport during their cruise. This greatly assists guests who may need to fly out of the United States to meet their ship at the next available port should they miss their scheduled embarkation in a U.S. port; guests entering the U.S. at the end of their cruise; and guests needing to fly to the U.S. before their cruise ends, because of medical, family, personal or business emergencies, missing a ship's departure from a port of call, involuntary disembarkation from a ship due to misconduct, or other reasons.

Guests who need to fly to the United States before their cruise ends will likely experience significant delays and complications related to booking airline tickets and entering the United States if they do not have a valid U.S. passport with them.

It is recommended that passports be renewed ASAP because of the high number of passports being renewed, you don't want the delay and backup to impact the trip.

How to apply for a passport: https://travel.state.gov/content/passports/en/passports/apply.html

Attendees will receive a certificate indicating the number of credits and the program number within 3 days after the conference is completed. Certificates will be sent via email.

Companions are welcome join us for the cocktail hour but are not eligible to attend any of the conference sessions.

There are a variety of excursions offered by Royal Caribbean and there is an additional charge. The conference is suggesting two excursions - one for each port of call. Click on the "Excursions" link on this page for additional information.
